History

Custom Aircraft Cabinets, Inc.

Like many American success stories, Custom Aircraft Cabinets, Inc. (CAC) originated from very humble beginnings.  In 1989, co-owners Paul Reesnes and Mike Gueringer discovered a niche market and began custom-building aircraft cabinets in the garage at Gueringer’s family home in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

The philosophy back then as well as today is three fold…

  • Treat each customer and employee honestly and with integrity

  • Deliver exceptional quality products priced fairly

  • Exceed all expectations in customer service.

Growth in Capabilities

As we grew, CAC experienced the typical growing pains associated with expansion.  The fledgling company flourished and had several small remodels over the years, including the largest in 2007 which expanded the facility to over 40,000 square feet, which greatly improved efficiency and productivity.   This provided the flexibility to create “work cells”, including cabinetry, upholstery and foam, in-house sheet metal, and electrical departments, as well as a 6,000 square foot finish plant.

Today... and into the future

In December, 2012, CAC relocated to our newly renovated 146,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility at 5510 Landers Road in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Including room for growth, all production operations are now under one roof, including specific areas for cabinet production, upholstery, CNC operation, finish, electronics, shipping/receiving, parts/warehouse and inspection.

Ultimately, the key to successful delivery of the highest quality furniture for the aircraft cabin is the attention to detail and a world class finish.  From OEM to refurbishment to independent completions, CAC stands ready to provide customized, world-class quality products – whether furniture or upholstery – to satisfied customers everywhere.

The core of the operation’s success stems from the “can-do, open door” management structure, which includes supervisors that have been with CAC for many years; more than 235 combined years of experience. This organizational structure is vital to retain the unique attention to detail in the demanding market we are in.
